“A Shared Housing Study on Transforming Leftover Space into Community Areas”
In modern society, the desire for larger living spaces often stems from psychological satisfaction rather than practical need. Building on insights from a previous project, I designed a shared apartment complex with a central garden to maximize marginal space. Unlike typical Korean apartments, divided by floors and households, this design fosters connection and communication through shared natural spaces while embracing smaller, minimal individual living areas.
