“Revitalizing Dead Space Between Apartment Complexes into Hubs of Connection”

Bugahyeon-dong, a 328m² site between two apartment complexes, ends at a ground railway flanked by Korea’s first tunnels, which must be preserved for their historical value. Situated on highland terrain with redevelopment and undeveloped zones divided by the railway, the site’s topography limits underground development. I propose a park design that bridges the apartment complexes, transforming this dead-end into a vibrant green space. The park integrates the site’s historical and topographical context, revitalizing the area while fostering connection and renewal.
